Over the last several years Chris has flipped hamburgers, collaborated with sashimi, collaborated in different musical projects, made some recordings, and hopped on stages. His latest project “Light Up the Sky” was released in June 2014.

Johnnie’s Sharkskin Revue plays the blues, swing, jazz, and also features Portland blues  legend Johnnie Ward and chanteuse Lauren Sheehan. Johnnie, who is a Muddy Award winner, leads the band on tenor saxophone, harmonica, saxcello, and vocals. Catch their performance on youtube.

Don’t miss Dakota Bob and the Business Men Blues Band Friday night, June 27th, at Mock Crest Tavern. The performance begins at 9 p.m.

Dakota Bob has played for years, and is well-recognized throughout the North and Midwest. Previously with a group in Washington, he later began playing with a Jazz band group from Portland. The group clicked and formed the band “Dakota Bob and the Business Men Blues”.

Members Include:

  1. Dakota Bob – Guitar and Harmonica
  2. Kdawg – Bass
  3. Johnny – Drums

Dakota Bob began his music career as Harmonica Bob, but after locating someone with the same name, he changed  it to Dakota Bob. Not long after, he connected with other musicians and began learning Old Chicago Blues songs. He soon earned a reputation as a well-respected musician with the “Blues Cronies”.

The Adequates perform at 9:00  p.m Saturday evening, June 28th. The band’s music includes songs from  the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s. Stapleton’s vocals and guitar shine through with songs from the Stones, The Clash, and others.

Members include:

  • Don Henson plays piano, drums and vocals
  • Mike Cheddar offers his expertise on bass
  • Peter Blowing on harp

Influences include the Rolling Stones, Clash, Elvis Costello, Squeeze and Bruce Springsteen.

The fun continues each Sunday night at 6:30 so come on in and join Roy Smallwood and play some Quizzy Trivia. On Monday evening join us and blow off the Monday blues with some Free Hold ’em Poker. The games begin at 7:00 p.m.

Everyone come on over to Mock Crest Tavern and welcome Alejandro Achondo! His performance begins Thursday, June 26th at 8:30 p.m.

Alejandro is a finger style guitarist in the Portland metro area. At just twenty-three years old, he has established a strong reputation for his unique picking and the ability to sound like an entire band.

Born in California and raised in Colorado, he became interested in guitar and  joined the school jazz band. Since then he has been performing everywhere he can and honing his craft into his own unique and creative sound. His influences include cool jazz, classic rock, romantic era classical composers and folk music. He is known for his live performances and the ability to convey the emotional depth of his playing.   •  To make colorful cordials or brandy float in a layered pattern in a glass, pour each ingredient slowly over a spoon held bottom side up over the glass, being careful to pour all ingredients in the order given in the recipe.

Lee Blake has played the blues and R&B for more than forty years. He performs with several bands including Left Coast Blues Band, The Lee Blake Band and sometimes adds players for larger venues and performances.
