Members Include:

  • Ben Cosloy – lead guitar

Motor Jeffries, the bands primary song writer, decided to write a collection of songs about the drive through Oregon on Interstate 84.

Bad Assets is creative and tons of fun, something we all need a bit more of in our lives. Enjoy their music on myspace.

Sweet Home continues the fun and music on Saturday, May 31st. They deliver a combination of  Rock-Folk-Pop and Americana Saturday night beginning at 9 pm.

Original songs offer vocal harmonies that weave stories of love, heartbreak, and the ups and downs of life. With guitar riffs and mandolin accents, Sweet Home creates a unique sound.

“The process of creating and performing together helps us define who we are. Our mission is to create a common dream through music that reflects the world we want to live in,” says Sweet Home.

Outdoor Seating and Music This Weekend

Everyone knows the saying “April showers bring May flowers”, and although Portland rarely turns up short in the shower part, I know everyone is ready for some consistently sunny days. Mock Crest Tavern has that great patio outside where you can see the sky, feel the sun and watch the hummingbirds flit from flower to flower. It’s one of my favorite features they offer. So, grab your seat whether it’s inside or out and get ready for some sun.

Suburban Slim performs at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4th.

Suburban Slim, Phil, grew up in Northern California, where he recorded his first album at the age of 15. Later, he toured Oregon and moved to Eugene where he stayed for several years before relocating to Portland.  As his music career grew, he released three Cd’s of original tunes.

Join Mock Crest Tavern in welcoming Chad Wright Saturday night, April 5th at 9:00 p.m.
chad wrightChad Wright is a singer and songwriter from Portland, Oregon, and he’s sure to entertain you with songs from honky-tonk to hard-driving bluegrass. Chad’s unique country, bluegrass and Americana tunes will have you toe-tappin’ right away.

Born in 1973 and raised on cornbread and ham, originally from Iowa, Chad relocated to the Northwest in 1997. He then started playing banjo and mandolin. Not long after he hosted the bluegrass jam at Sam Bonds Garage in Eugene, Or. In 2002, Chad began playing the upright bass and playing with The Cascade Colonels. He is now focused on writing and flat-picking guitar.

You can listen to his tunes and learn more about him at Reverbnation.

Don’t miss Quizzy trivia with Roy Smallwood this Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. and free Hold ’em poker at 7 p.m. on Monday.

Have a great week and we’ll see ya there!
