Open Mic with Bob Mader Thursday Night

openmic (1)Oh Snap! Mock Crest Tavern will host an open mic night and Dakota Bob Mader will kick it off! Tell all your friends, send them emails, Facebook and twitter or any other form of communication you use. The evening starts at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 21st so mark  your calendars!

Thanksgiving is next Thursday, November 28th. Mock Crest Tavern won’t only have their doors open for you, but they will offer a kick butt menu too. So if your away from home on business, need a change of scenery or just not interested in cooking, Mock Crest Tavern will take care of you just as they always do.  I’m all about someone taking care of me that day for sure! And, just in case you haven’t heard, their little kitchen prepares amazing food!!! You won’t leave disappointed. The menu will post soon so stay tuned.

Mock Crest Tavern is known for their $2.99 daily breakfast as well, so if you need some power food before you drive to meet family and friends, swing on by.

Are you ready to shop? Those holiday deals are showing up on-line everywhere we turn! Lots of crowds, lines flowing out of the stores and into the parking lots, umbrellas opening, horns honking, and no parking anywhere. I’m not sure how fun that sounds, but if you go and need a much deserved break, the doors are open until 2:30 a.m. Ask the staff about the daily special and drink special as well. They will get you full, relaxed, buttoned up and back on the road before you know it. It’s better than any band-aid for sure. That’s just one more reason people love Mock Crest Tavern, they care and take good care of you.

Have a great week and we’ll see there!

The Chancers and Thanksgiving at Mock Crest Tavern

The Chancers perform at Mock Crest Tavern on November 21st at Mock Crest Tavern starting at 9:00 p.m.

The Chancers blend their unique sound into 80’s hits, traditional Irish ballads, hackneyed paddy-whack tunes and polkas. Their influences include performers such as Benny O’Conner of the esteemed Galway ceili band ‘Shaskeen’ , Neil Diamond, Shane McGowan and Morrissey.

The band members include:

  1. Master fisherman and highly sought-after buttonbox player, Felim Egan on accordion
  2. Professional magician and motivational speaker Paddy Schutte on banjo
  3. Aerospace engineer Tim Cornell on fiddle, mandolin and guitar
  4.  Model Sean Connolly as front man

With their folk/Celtic Rock and Irish traditional sounds you won’t want to miss this group as we kick off the holiday weekend. Visit them at Reverbnation to hear their tunes.

If you’re not interested in cooking for Thanksgiving, hop on over to  Mock Crest Tavern. They’ll keep your belly full with their Thanksgiving food. Hang out with friends and enjoy being waited on, play the lottery, and relax with a good drink or two. A day of relaxation before the crazy rush of shopping on Black Friday sounds good to me!

See ya there!
