Brumby and Claes of the Blueprints

BrumbyLet’s welcome Brumby Tuesday evening, July 8th, at 8:00 p.m.  They are bringing their alternative, rock and Brit Pop sound to the stage, and if you like Coldplay, Radiohead, Muse, U2 and Arcade Fire you are sure to add Brumby to your playlist!

Brumby consists of a long-lasting group consisting of three cousins and a life-long friend. Tyler was given a left-handed set of strings for his ninth birthday and the lives of  him and his friends were forever changed. Drummer, Dylan Self, and bassist, Spencer Tingey, followed suit in the following years. Later, Oliver Tingey picked up a microphone and it was that moment they realized their potential.

Visit Brumby at their website for pictures, schedules and their full bio. They are also present on Reverbnation where you can hear several of their tunes!

Claes Almroth of the Blueprints performs this Thursday, July 10th, at 8:30 p.m. Claes is a Mock Crest favorite and regular with great tunes for everyone. He showcases his talents in various bands including:

  • The Blueprints
  • Claes and Sons
  • Reverb Brothers
  • The New Iberians

He was born in Sweden and grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. As he grew older, he began playing the piano, and shortly after picked up the harmonica. As an adult Claes relocated to Oregon from California where he  lived in Corvallis and  played in a jug band, a blues band, and enrolled in music classes. In the 80′s he moved to Portland, Oregon. After several name and band changes, The Blueprints were born.

Today he sings lead and harmony vocals; plays the keyboard, and harmonica, as well as writes and records his own music. Feel free to listen to his music and learn more about him on myspace.

Have a great week and we’ll see ya there!
