Come on in and celebrate your independence with free music from Suburban Slim, Friday, July 4th, at 9:00 p.m.
Phil Wagner (aka Suburban Slim) has played the ukulele since childhood and later learned guitar. Phil eventually settled in Portland and embraced the wider audience and music culture. As his music career grew, he released three Cd’s of original tunes. Suburban Slim is available to hear on YouTube.
Get ready for The Keys! Boris Paillard, a.k.a The Keys, will perform Saturday, July 5th, at 9:00 p.m. The Key’s music is a combination of Pop, World & Traditional music and Rock ‘n’ Roll.
Paillard was born and raised in France. His second home is the stage where he has consistently won over audiences across Europe, Canada and the United States with his raw and fresh talent. He offers a strong singer-songwriter work ethic, and released his 8th album in the winter of 2013. He has also toured North-America from coast to coast three times with a Greyhound Discovery Pass.
Paillard is well-known for his energetic guitar work, catchy melodies and intriguing personality. His presence on stage is described as “electric, wandering seamlessly from song into story, painting diverse personal scenes of home-hunting, bond-making and anger-brooding.”
The Chicago Reader says this about The Keys:
“Like Dylan, Paillard has a weird voice—nasal, wobbly, a little ragged—but deploys it defiantly, singing with a poetic intensity reminiscent of Leonard Cohen and an unself-consciousness that makes me think of Jad Fair.”
