Mile to Go and Johnnie Ward Sharkskin Revue

P20120816_145431It’s mid May and summer is peeking her head around the corner. There’s nothing better than kicking back with a cold beer outside at Mock Crest’s outdoor seating! You can bring your friends, have some fun and soak up the rays.

Let’s join Mock Crest in welcoming  A Mile to Go! They perform on Friday, May 16th, at 9:00 p.m.

This band blends together Americana with rock- n- roll and fantastic  musicianship. They bring with them original material written by Daniel Robinson. Their debut show was a CD release held at Taborspace in Portland, Oregon on June 14th of 2013.

Their CD “Get There & Gone” was recorded in Portland, Oregon, at Cloud City Studios by Justin Phelps. It also features local musicians including Annalisa Tornfelt on fiddle of Black Prairie, Todd Roper former drummer of Cake, Belinda Underwood on upright bass and Asher Fulero on B3 organ for a track.

The band was formed to support the CD release. After creating it they decided they weren’t finished having the time of their life and decided to stick together and continue playing shows.

Band Members Include:

  • Josiah Payne – fiddle/mandolin
  • Cameron Edens – upright bass
  • Dave Kelsay – drums/percussion
  • Daniel Robinson – acoustic guitar, vocals

Johnnie Ward Sharkskin Revue continues a great weekend and performs Saturday night, May 17th, at 9:00 p.m.

Johnnie, who is a Muddy Award winner, leads the band on tenor saxophone, harmonica, saxcello, and vocals. They feature original music as well as a wide variety of material from Ella Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, and Thelonious Monk. Catch their performance on youtube.
