Sam Klass and and Claes Almroth

samMock Crest Tavern has a lot of Klass and Claues this week! Sam Klass performs Friday, May 9th, at 9:00 p.m. so come on in and give him a Mock Crest welcome as he performs his Psychedelic Funk Rock Live Looping Improvisation tunes.

Klass spent 2 years developing his act before performing across Canada. Some of his highlights included a sold-out Opera House spotlight set for the New Deal’s final hometown show, a renegade campground stage at Bonnaroo,  and Canada Day at a downtown Victoria festival. All this developed from a single epic street performance at Nuit Blanche in Toronto. Sam’s 3rd independent release, Fluid Identity, is a free download from

Sam has played at the Harvest Festival three times and Come Together Music Festival five times. He has also shared the bill with a long list of world-class acts including Kaki King, Gramatik, The New Deal, Marco Benevento, Charlie Hunter, Robert Babicz, Daniel Wesley, Killah Priest, Maylee Todd, Deep Dark Woods, The Reason and more.

This is not a performance you will want to miss.

Claes & Friends perform at 9:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10th.

Claes relocated  to Oregon from California during the 70’s, and grew serious about music. In the 80’s, craving a larger music scene, he moved to Portland.  Today, he plays  in a number of bands, where he sings lead and harmony vocals; plays the keyboard, and harmonica, as well as writes and records his own music.

Have a great week and we’ll see ya there!
