Hollerbodies and Lee Blake Blues Band

It’s almost the weekend and time to start making your plans. Mock Crest HollerbodiesTavern welcomes Hollerbodies, Friday, March 28th. They start playing at 9:00 p.m.

You’re in for a real treat if you’re a bluegrass fan! Hollerbodies is an acoustic trio, based in Portland, Oregon.

Members Include:

  • Zach Banks (Cello and mandolin)
  • Jon Meek (5-string banjo, resonator guitar, and mandolin)
  • Patrick Connell (Guitar)

The band plays and sings a number of originals, standards, and covers. Bringing together years of experience in bluegrass bands and orchestras, The Hollerbodies intertwine aspects of traditional bluegrass and fiddle music with jazz, classical, and other stylistic influences.

They have a solid choice of songs listed on Reverbnation so go read up on them and listen to a few of their tunes.

Mock Crest Tavern is bringing back Lee Blake Blues Band Saturday, March 29th at 9:00 p.m.

Lee Blake has played the blues and R&B for more than forty years. He performs with several bands including The Lee Blake Band, a trio,  and  sometimes adds players for larger venues and performances. He also plays solo performing roots music on a Regal/ National steel bodied resophonic guitar.

For additional information and tunes visit Lee Blake at Reverbnation.

Now that we have clear skies ahead don’t forget that Mock Crest Tavern offers a  “cam cache”. If you’re not familiar with it the object of the cam cache, is to have your picture taken while you are visible in the cam image on the web and then  post it in the geocache log entry.

This link offers instructions on how to take a picture using http://www.mockcrest.com/cam.html as well as  how to capture a photo if you’re inside the tavern using the  WiFi.
Have a great week and we’ll see ya there!
