Sneakin’ Out and Johnnie Ward’s Sharkskin Revue

Sneakin outSneakin’ Out is back this weekend at Mock Crest Tavern so join us this Friday, March 14th. The performance begins at 9:00 p.m. so don’t be late, in fact grab your food and beer early if you plan to sit down for this performance.

Did you know that Sneakin’ Out has a soundtrack to a movie that doesn’t exist? The Cd is titled “Opera Tuna Teen Ox” (aka “OTTO”) and available at CD Baby. Birthed at Mississippi Studios with the band and Jim Brunberg co-producing, OTTO showcases their talents in new ways. They also brought guest artists onto the project including James Dineen, on field recordings and inhuman sounds, Lisa Molinaro on french dialogue, Eugene Gray on island crooning, Kina Muir on cello section and Jim Brunberg on the subtlest of textures.

Sneakin’ Out has played many venues including The High Sierra Music Festival, The Portland Bite, National Earth Day, Hillsboro Celebration and many other events including being one of the consistent favorites at Mock Crest Tavern.

Johnnie Ward’s Sharkskin Revue. The performance starts at 9 p.m. Saturday, March 15th.

Johnnie’s Sharkskin Revue plays the blues, swing, jazz, and also features Portland blues  legend Johnnie Ward and chanteuse Lauren Sheehan.

Johnnie, who is a Muddy Award winner, leads the band on tenor saxophone, harmonica, saxcello, and vocals. They feature original music as well as a wide variety of material from Ella Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, and Thelonious Monk. Catch their performance on youtube.
