Bad Assests and the Adequates at MCT

Bad AssetsMock Crest Tavern has some great music lined up for your weekend! Join Bad Assets Friday night, February 28, at 9:oo p.m.

Bad Assets brings their whiskey-soaked country rock band to the tavern and are from Portland, Oregon.

Members Include:

  • Ben Cosloy – lead guitar
  • Kevin Marcotte – bass and vocals
  • Drag Triplet – drums
  • Motor Jeffries – guitar, vocals

Motor Jeffries, the bands primary song writer, decided to write a collection of songs about the drive through Oregon on Interstate 84.

Take a road trip with them through their music. The journey takes you from Stumptown, across the state line, towards the potato processing plants, stops by a bottom shelf liquor distillery, a washed out waterfall, rodeo country, and an abandoned cement factory. You can listen and enjoy their music on myspace.

The Adequates bring their old school rock with a bit of Portland weirdness to Mock Crest Tavern. They perform at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1st. The band’s music includes songs from  the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s.

Members include:

  • John Stapleton vocals and guitar
  • Don Henson plays piano, drums and vocals (from Sneakin’ Out)
  • Mike Cheddar offers his expertise on bass
  • Peter Blowing on harp

Influences include the Rolling Stones, Clash, Elvis Costello, Squeeze and Bruce Springsteen.

Have you stopped by to sample the new menu? With choices like the Pita Bacon Blues, Jalapeno Swiss burger and Turkey Bacon Cheddar Melt how can you not want to come in for a bite to eat and a cold beer to wash it down? Check out the menu here.

Have a great week and we’ll see ya there!
