It’s Open Mic Jam night once again so come on in and join us at Mock Crest Tavern this Thursday, February 27th, at 8:30 p.m. with Randy Yearout.

Most people are already familiar with Randy Yearout. He plays guitars and Vocals with the 8-Balls, but he also founded the North Portland band NoPoMoJo. Known for his multi-instrumentalist and songwriting talents, Randy has a knack for witty and catchy songs in a variety of musical styles intermingling the roots and boundaries of blues, folk, jazz, rock, and country.

Randy has been a professional musician for more than 40 years. He is currently the bandleader, guitarist, vocalist, song-writer, and marketing manager of the Portland, OR, band Tracey Fordice and the 8-Balls. They perform a wide variety of music, original and covers, specializing in Rockin’ Blues and Soulful Ballads.  Randy also plays in the eclectic folk-rock band, NoPoMoJo!

He  also does Willie Nelson impersonations and tributes and has done so for more than 16 years. He has faithfully recreated Willie’s unique voice and guitar style!

Quizzy with Roy Smallwood is going strong! Join us every Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. Brush up on your trivia in all genres and see if you can give Rainer and team a run for their money! I hear he’s kicking tail. Look through the last few posts for some trivia fun and tidbits.

Also, Mock Crest Tavern has a new menu! Don’t panic, they still have Happy Hour twice a day! And, with breakfast, burgers sandwiches and drinks why go anywhere else?

Have a great week and we’ll see ya there!
