I hope everyone enjoyed the Superbowl! What a game with the Seattle Seahawks walking off the field with the trophy. We know that anything can happen next year though. We’ll watch to see if the Seahawks play just as well, or will the tables turn? The Baltimore Ravens were a great example of Superbowl winners not playing well in 2013. We’ll chat more in August!
Suburban Slim starts your weekend off on the right foot. He performs at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 7th.
Suburban Slim, Phil, grew up in Northern California, where he recorded his first album at the age of 15. Later, he toured Oregon and moved to Eugene where he stayed for several years before relocating to Portland. As his music career grew, he released three Cd’s of original tunes.
Tracey Fordice and the 8-Balls perform Saturday, February 8th. The will get you rockin’ to their blues, soulful ballads, covers and original tunes.
Tracey Fordice, offers a truly unique and powerful voice. Tracey also plays the piano and offers her song-writing talents that blend a mix of creativity and depth to the blues community.
Her latest CD, “Long Hard Day”, offers a collection of original material. Dean Baskerville, the Grammy winning recording engineer, engineered her CD. He is widely known for “Soak Up the Sun” by Cheryl Crow.
