Open Mic Night Returns…

Bob Mader

Bob Mader

Thanks to everyone who is making Open Mic night a great evening of fun and music. This week hosting the evening is Bob Mader (Dakota Bob).  The fun kicks off at 8 p.m., Thursday, January 23rd, at your favorite tavern.

Not familiar with Dakota Bob? Not only has he played music for years, he is a very well-recognized musician throughout the North and Midwest. He began his music career as Harmonica Bob, but after locating someone with the same name, he changed it to Dakota Bob. Soon after he connected with other musicians and began learning Old Chicago Blues songs.

Visit his website to learn more about Bob, listen to a few of his tunes, see his photos and more.

Mock Crest Tavern has some new rotating taps! As you know, they are only available until they run out, so come in and get one today. Here’s what’s available:

  • Ecliptic’s Filament Winter IPA
  • Hub’s Survival Stout

The Ecliptic’s Filament Winter IPA offers a pale, Munich and Caramel malts that create a rich malt character with a honey like flavor. It brings an abundance of Crystal, Chinook and Centennial hops combine to lend spicy, citrus hop notes.  It also offers you an IBU of 70 and ABV of 7.2%.

January is moving fast, so if you haven’t come in yet for Quizzies with Roy Smallwood, brush up on your trivia and meet everyone there each Sunday. The game begins at 6:30 p.m. Roy writes his own questions, so you’ll never know what to expect! You can search the blog posts for some helpful trivia facts. Who knows, it might just be the winning answer for your team.

Have a great week and we’ll see ya there!
