Happy New Year with Suburban Slim and Sneakin’ Out

Happy New Year!!! Come on in to Mock Crest Tavern and start if off right. Check out their daily special or grab some breakfast. They’ll have just the cure to nurse that hangover too!

And, presenting your first weekend of live, free music for 2014 Mock Crest is bringing in a huge favorite, Suburban Slim and his fantastic blues music.

Suburban Slim

Suburban Slim

Phil has gained an expertise in ukulele since he began playing during childhood.  With a growing interest in music he later learned guitar. Growing up in Northern California, he recorded his first album at the age of 15.

After realizing what a ‘hot spot’ Oregon is for the music industry, he first toured and then moved to Eugene where he stayed for several years before moving to Portland.

Suburban Slim is available to hear on YouTube.

Expect another packed house Saturday night, January 4th, before Sneakin’ Out even begins to play. With a solid reputation preceding their talents, fans arrive at least an hour early. The show begins at 9:00 p.m.

Members Include:

  • David Gerow  on the mandolin
  • Don Henson on percussion
  • Mike Cheddar Schmitt  on bass

And, since everyone has made it a huge success, Roy Smallwood will bring in Quizzy fun on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. That’s an entire weekend filled with great music, friends, fun and good food and drink!

I know that Mock Crest Tavern and staff look forward to taking good care of you and meeting all the new customers as well. 2014 will not have a dull moment with everything the tavern has planned.

Enjoy your weekend, and we’ll see ya there!
