Happy New YearWooohooo! It’s almost 2014 so come on in to Mock Crest Tavern  and enjoy the New Year’s Eve party, live music and countdown to a new year with free Champagne at midnight!

The Left Coast Blues Band with Lee Blake will begin at 9:00 p.m. and take you into the new year. Lee Blake has played the blues and R&B for more than forty years and you’re sure to love their music.

He performs with several bands including The Lee Blake Band, Left Coast Blues Band and  sometimes adds players for larger venues and performances. He also plays solo performing roots music on a Regal/ National steel bodied resophonic guitar. Groove, guitars, and vocals, are his specialty and it’s obvious anytime you hear him. Rumor has it that people even dance to the acoustic performances.

Lee also plays the slide guitar, in open tunings and for a good portion of the acoustic part of his act. For additional information and tunes visit Lee Blake at Reverbnation.

For a “live” performance visit and listen to them on You Tube  as well.

Joining us for Open Mic and Jam Night is Johnnie Ward! Come on in this Thursday evening, January 2nd, the fun begins at 8:30 p.m.

Johnnie Ward has years of experience in the music industry and has performed with bands including the PH Phactor Jug Band, and opened for Moby Grape, The Grateful Dead, Pentangle, The Doors, and more. And, Johnnie became an intricate part of the  movement that resurrected the blues venue in Portland , Oregon. He was the first act to play The White Eagle, which was the first post-war Portland Blues club.
