Sneakin' Out

Sneakin’ Out

This group is very well-known for their acoustic alternative sound and unpredictability. One minute they play tunes from the Stones and the next a classical song with a Sneakin’ Out spin. So don’t get left out in the cold and rain!

Members include:

  • David Gerow  on the mandolin
  • Don Henson on percussion
  • Mike Cheddar Schmitt  on bass

They originally met on a musical project in Michigan, and after hearing each other at mutual music performances, they decided to form their band. From that point on it was full speed ahead.

David recalls that change, and how it felt moving forward.  “It was like we weren’t exactly doing what was happening: it was happening to us, through us. We just realized it, cooperated with it, received it, and are giving it away.”

The Adequates bring their old school rock with a bit of Portland weirdness to Mock Crest Tavern. They perform at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9th .The band’s music includes songs from  the 60′s, 70′s and 80′s.

Members include:

  • John Stapleton vocals and guitar
  • Don Henson plays piano, drums and vocals (from Sneakin’ Out)
  • Mike Cheddar offers his expertise on bass
  • Peter Blowing on harp

Influences include the Rolling Stones, Clash, Elvis Costello, Squeeze and Bruce Springsteen.

Have a great week and we’ll see ya there!
