The Sharrows

Phil Sharrow and Matthew Smith from The Sharrows are playing at Mock Crest Tavern. Mark your calendars for Friday, September 27th at 9:00 p.m.  If you enjoy Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Poco or Wilco you’re sure to enjoy these guys.

Phil and Matthew are members of The Sharrows, and are considered a roots-rock band based in Madison, Wisconsin. They bring a fresh sound to the stage with their combination of folk, blues and country. The groove-rock group formed in 2012 and released their debut LP, “Starting at the End” in June of 2013.

They just completed their summer national tour and held performances in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and Illinois.  They are also scheduled to record a follow-up EP in November of 2013.

Members of The Sharrows Include:

  • Joe Hermanson
  • Phil Sharrow
  • Matthew Smith

Enjoy some of their music before the show at Reverbnation.  “I Left the Light On” offers listeners a fun and up beat song while “Mary Celeste” brings the tunes down to earth with a slower pace.

It’s time for The Blueprints! Join us Saturday, September 28th at 9:00 p.m. while they perform a mix of Blues/Americana and some R&B thrown into the mix.

Members include:

You can listen to their music on myspace, including “Deep River Blues” and “Number 13.” Some of their other songs are on Reverbnation.

If you’re a regular at the tavern you’re familiar with Claes Almroth who plays in several other bands as well. His daughter, EmmaLee, joins him and also performs in The Blueprints. She lends her talent to  lead vocals, back-up vocals, alto sax and percussion.

Have a fantastic week and we will see ya there!
