The Tenants Play at Mock Crest Tavern

The Tenants

If you enjoy Brandi Carlile,  The Wallflowers, The Swell Season Official or The Civil Wars you are sure to enjoy The Tenants. They perform at Mock Crest Tavern, Thursday, September 19th, at 8:30 p.m.

The Tenants formed their group in the beginning of  2012 with husband and wife duo Mitchell and Allison Dorn. The couple released their first EP “Iron and Gold” in April of that year. Mitch and Ally booked and played shows across northeast Wisconsin and then trekked across the country to Tacoma, WA in October 2012. In May 2013, after playing local open mics, the duo met and connected with drummer Thene Singleton. Not long after they formed their Americana Folk Rock three-piece, The Tenants. Their summer stayed busy as they played shows in the Tacoma area through July and August, teaming up with Dave Hannon, The Frosted Hearts, and The Sherman Family. The group has intentions of releasing their first full length album in early 2014.

Here’s what Fish Records has to say about them:

“…it has been quite some time since a band has touched my soul and stirred my emotions the way that THE TENANTS do. Their rich vocals and relevant song arrangements provide a foundation for their lyrics to reach right in to your very core and make you feel!”  —  Raymond Hayden, CEO, Maurice the Fish Records

Members Include:

  • Mitchell James
  • Ally Anne
  • Thene Singleton

For additional information and a sample of their tunes visit them at Reverbnation.

I hope everyone is enjoying the cooler weather! Don’t forget to check out Mock Crest’s “home cooked” daily specials. There’s also a drink special of the day so just ask one of the staff and they will take great care of you.

Have a great week and we’ll see you there!
