Josiah Payne and Friends and the Blueprints

josiahJoin Josiah Payne and Friends Friday night at Mock Crest Tavern, April 26th at 9:00 p.m.

From 2000 to 2007, Josiah,  the lead member of the nationally touring band “The Hot Strings” (www.myspace.com/thehotstrings), won two nationally known band contests, recorded an album, “Uncharted”, engineered by Brent Truit (The Dixie Chicks) and produced by Pat Flynn (former Newgrass Revival guitarist). After The Hot Strings he has continued playing with various other bluegrass, folk and indie groups including Portland-based Indie band Jared Mees and the Grown Children and current a member of Wayward Vessel (www.myspace.com/waywardvessel).

The Blueprints return to Mock Crest Tavern and perform Saturday, April 27th at 9 p.m. They perform a mix of  Blues, Americana and Rhythm and Blues.

Members of the Blueprints include:

  1. Claes Almroth
  2. EmmaLee Almroth
  3. Chris Bond
  4. Steve Dion
  5. Emery Wilson

“I Can’t Stand the Rain”and “Blind Man” are well worth listening too, and grab your attention as soon as they begin. To hear this song and others visit The Blueprints on Reverbnation.

Find additional songs on myspace, including “Everything is Free Now”,  “Wait On Time, ” and Number 13″.

There is never a cover charge at Mock Crest Tavern. So share the updates with your friends, and remind them to visit and subscribe to the blog for future events. Speaking of future events, spring is moving in and Mock Crest Tavern’s patio and tables make a great way to soak up the sun and enjoy Portland’s great outdoors. In my opinion, the service outside gives MCT another edge over other bars.

Make your plans to treat yourself to some great food and music, have a great week, and we’ll see ya there!
