With a solid reputation preceding their talents, fans arrive at least an hour early, so don’t miss out.

Members include:

  • David Gerow  on the mandolin
  • Don Henson on percussion
  • Mike Cheddar Schmitt  on bass

They originally met on a musical project in Michigan, and after hearing each other at mutual music performances, they decided to form their band. From that point on it was full speed ahead.

David recalls that change, and how it felt moving forward.  “It was like we weren’t exactly doing what was happening: it was happening to us, through us. We just realized it, cooperated with it, received it, and are giving it away.”

The band has also focused on original tunes that showcase the unique sound of the trio.

Sneakin’ Out opened for famous singers including kd lang, John Jorgenson and Pink Martini. Their CD, Train Wreck,  is available to listen to as well as purchase on My Space. Click here for a preview of their performance.

To continue the weekend, Saturday, March 28th, join us at the tavern and hang out with Johnnie Ward’s Sharkskin Revue at 9 p.m.

This band plays the blues, swing, jazz, and features Portland blues  legend Johnnie Ward and chanteuse Lauren Sheehan. Johnnie, who is a Muddy Award winner, leads the band on tenor saxophone, harmonica, saxcello, and vocals. They feature original music as well as a wide variety of material from Ella Johnson, Howlin’ Wolf, and Thelonious Monk. Catch their performance on youtube.

Have a great week, and we’ll see ya there!
