Mock Crest Tavern welcomes Laura Meyer Friday, March 8th at 9:00 p.m.Laura is a singer/songwriter who has performed with such contemporaries as Jenny Lewis, Conor Oberst, and Ryan Adams among others. Her music, considered folk traditional, varies from soft and soothing sounds to an edgier rock sound. She sings both with ease. She packs a lot of energy into her music, and it’s quite contagious.

Laura, raised in New England, relocated to Southern California after spending the last four years traveling across the United States and Europe where she performed at countless venues.

Her website not only shares her travels, but photos and music which are available for listening and purchase. Visit and see for yourself, she won’t disappoint.

Bad Assets return on Saturday, March 9th at 9:00 p.m. They are a whiskey-soaked country rock band from Portland, Oregon.

Members Include:

  • Ben Cosloy – lead guitar
  • Kevin Marcotte – bass and vocals
  • Drag Triplet – drums
  • Motor Jeffries – guitar, vocals

Motor Jeffries, the bands primary writer, decided to write a group of songs about the drive through Oregon on Interstate 84. After a few years, Bad Assets accomplished their goal. You can enjoy their music on myspace. 

Just a reminder, that this Sunday, March 10th is Daylight Savings so spring ahead one hour. And, MCT has a fantastic evening planned.

Here’s the lineup for your Sunday evening:

  • Guinness Girls from 6pm to 8pm
  • Tullamore Dew promos, prizes
  • Tullamore Girls from 8pm to 10pm

The Chancers also play Sunday evening. The band brings a  blend of their unique sound to 80’s hits, traditional Irish ballads, hackneyed paddy-whack tunes and polkas.

The band members include:

  1. Felim Egan on accordion
  2. Paddy Schutte on banjo
  3. Tim Cornell on fiddle, mandolin and guitar
  4. Model Sean Connolly as front man
