Ron has worked in the industry for more than forty years. His experience expands in several directions including performing, writing and recording music. Ron’s knowledge has also landed him in the heart of several of Portland’s most popular and successful bands, on stage, and behind the scenes in the  studio.

Stephens’ latest music endeaver, Freak Flag Fly (a phrase taken from David Crosby’s “Almost Cut My Hair” on the first CSN album), includes Hall of Famers Carlton Jackson and Denny Bixby. They perform original songs from every era and personal favorites that span the spectrum from ZZ Top to Motown.

“These days I don’t have any fantasies about global domination. I just enjoy playing these songs with these guys. The big stages and big crowds are great. But give me a packed house on a Tuesday night at O’Connors and I’m good to go,” Stephens said.

The Blueprints return to MCT and perform Saturday, February 23rd at 9 p.m. Their music covers a mix of Americana/Blues and R&B.
