Mock Crest Tavern is kicking of the weekend with DC Malone & the Jones Friday evening at 9:00 p.m.
DC Malone & the Jones incorporate blues, rock, folk, swing, country and a touch of bluegrass into their performances. Their music covers a wide variety, including cover songs and interpretations. Malone has performed for more than thirty years. He picked up the guitar at age ten, developing his strong rhythm and finger-picking style. His versatile voice draws a crowd in every time.Malone and the Jones have performed at festivals, dance clubs, taverns, private parties, and corporate functions. Each member has at least ten years of experience under their belt.

With a name like Conjugal Visitors, your curiosity has to be piqued. This acoustic group offers a unique mix of mountain dance music, bluegrass, jazz, jug band, and rock ‘n’ roll. Their performances make you feel as though you’re witnessing a free-wheeling living room jam session party.
Conjugal Visitors was voted Best Acoustic Band in the Eugene Weekly’s “Best of Eugene” reader’s poll. They’ve entertained on the same stage as Peter Rowan, Devil Makes Three, GreenSky Bluegrass, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Fruition, Shook Twins, Laurie Lewis, Scott Law, Baby Gramps, and Maria Muldaur.

The Conjugal Visitors’ newest CD, “Maui Wowie Jubilee”‘ was recorded in Maui and Portland. The CD includes tunes from old-time country, the lost era jazz, heartfelt tear jerkers and barn burnin’ dance tunes. Their next projects include two concept albums exploring the timeless traditions of struggle, Prohibition and Labor.
